Brazil’s Health Ministry reported an 18,615 increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in 24 hours, according to the latest report, released Sunday (Nov. 22). The total case tally now stands at 6,071,401. In the same 24-hour period, 194 new deaths were added, amounting to a total of 169,183 deaths. Also reported were 5,432,505 people (89.5%) people cured from the disease.

Lower figures are common on Sundays due to difficulties facing state health secretariats feeding the database over the weekend.
