São Paulo promotes actions on World AIDS Day

On the date that the World Day of Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) is celebrated, the Municipal Health Department of São Paulo began a series of actions that will be developed throughout the month of December.

Disease prevention messages will be displayed on street clocks and in city malls , including lighting in public buildings, rapid testing for the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and research seminar.

The actions are part of the Red December campaign, to raise awareness about the disease and its prevention and can be followed by the Municipal Health Department’s social networks (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter – @saudeprefsp) and by the Department’s website.

According to the secretariat, the main action was the early opening of the itinerant Testing and Counseling Center (CTA), CTA da Cidade, last Sunday (28), at an event held in Minhocão.
