Brazil has another 1.200 deaths, 50,000 new cases of COVID-19

The daily report on the pandemic of the novel coronavirus, released on Thursday (13), brought 1,262 deaths and 60,091 cases of COVID-19 notified in 24 hours by the country’s state health secretariats. It was the third day since the beginning of the pandemic with the highest number of new people infected. On July 22, new patients added up to 67,860, and, on July 29, 69,074.

The figures bring the amount of related deaths to 105,463 altogether. There are also 3,411 deaths under investigation. The total case tally stands at 3,224,876.

Thus far, 2,356,640 people have recovered from COVID-19. There are 762,773 patients being monitored.

By state

The state with the highest death tolls from COVID-19 are São Paulo (26,324), Rio de Janeiro (14,412), Ceará (8,088), and Pará (5,917). The ones with the lowest death counts are Tocantins (493), Roraima (561), Mato Grosso do Sul (570), Acre (574), and Amapá (609).
